What is a 355 Community Mangement Committee?

Tamworth Regional Council fully acknowledges and appreciates the valuable contribution made by members of the community who serve as a member of Community 355 Management Committees.

Tamworth Regional Council is structured to provide advice and direction on all matters associated with Community 355 Management Committees and members of such committees are encouraged to seek Council’s assistance with crucial roles.

The Local Government Act 1993 enables Council to delegate some of its functions to a committee of Council. Council uses this delegation and appoints community people to manage its facilities and functions through a committee of Council.

At present Council has resolved to delegate responsibility to forty five (45) Community 355 Management Committees.

Please read the Manual to understand the guidelines on the management, responsibilities; functions and operations of community facilities and programs and the role performed by the Council in this partnership.
